We will weigh anchor very early and head towards our first destination, Düsseldorf. The brightly lit streets in the Altstadt (Old Town) complete the Christmas scene. It is Christmas Eve and if you wish you can attend mass in the nearby church. Later in the evening you can enjoy a midnight buffet on board. Merry Christmas!
Tuesday 25 December:
Düsseldorf - Cologne
After a Christmas breakfast we continue our journey towards Cologne. Of course a visit to the imposing Cologne Dom (Cathedral) should not be missed. At the end of the afternoon there will be a Christmas aperitif in the stylish lounge. The chef de cuisine has pulled out all the culinary stops to provide a wonderful Christmas dinner. It would be very much appreciated if you dress up in your party clothes for this special evening.
Wednesday 26 December:
Cologne - Bonn
The morning begins with a wonderful champagne brunch. Meanwhile we sail towards Bonn. There are various monuments to be seen in the centre of this stately city. The central market place is dominated by the Altes Rathaus (Old Town Hall) painted in pastel shades. High Tea will be served on board in the middle of the afternoon.
Thursday 27 December:
Bonn - Coblenz
After lunch we will moor in Coblenz. You can explore the lively centre all afternoon or take the cable car up to the Ehrenbreitstein fortress. From this vantage point you have wonderful views not only of Coblenz but also of the Rhine and Moselle.
Friday 28 December:
Coblenz - Mainz
Today we will sail through the romantic part of the Rhine. You will have wonderful views of the various castles and fortresses from the ship. We will also pass by the famous Lorelei. In the middle of the afternoon we will arrive in Mainz. This city on the Rhine has a historic centre with many monuments including the Dom (Cathedral) and many examples of Baroque architecture.
Saturday 29 December:

Sailing downstream we once again pass the Lorelei where at the beginning of the afternoon we will moor in the wine town of Boppard. The promenade beside the water will take you right into the small but charming centre.
Sunday 30 December:
Boppard - Andernach
We leave Boppard in the morning and will soon be sailing past Coblenz. The statue of Emperor William I stands on the Deutsche Eck, the point where the Moselle and the Rhine converge. Then it’s only a short sail to Andernach. This was once one of the fifty fortified towns along the Rhine. You will find remains of this period behind the sturdy city walls.
Monday 31 December:
Andernach - Cologne
We arrive in Cologne in time to give you the opportunity to walk down the long shopping streets behind the Dom. The shops will close early in the afternoon and everyone will get ready for an enjoyable New Year’s Eve. Tonight we will serve a wonderful gala dinner. With the Dom in the background, lit by fireworks, this is a new year you won’t forget quickly.
