Monday 21 December:
Arnhem – Krefeld
You can board in Arnhem from 08:00. The convivial atmosphere is already noticeable from the gangway. The anchor will be raised at 09:30 and we will sail on the Rhine to Krefeld.
Tuesday 22 December:
Krefeld – Cologne
In the course of the morning, we'll continue our trip and set sail for our next destination, Cologne. We'll dock here after lunch. The whole city is festively decorated, with the Dom (Cathedral) as star attraction. There are Christmas markets in six different areas of the city; of these the picturesque Christmas market under the Dom has the most beautiful decor. You really won't get bored here!
Wednesday 23 December:
Cologne – Andernach
The landscape changes quickly here, and around Bonn we'll come face to face with the famous Siebengebirge (Seven Mountains). Today the town of Andernach is on the itinerary. The history of this town goes back more than 2000 years, and it's one of the oldest towns on the Rhine.
Thursday 24 December:
Andernach – Koblenz
We just have to sail a few more hours to Koblenz, situated at the confluence of the Moselle and the Rhine. Today you will have plenty of time to get to know this beautiful city, or to go to the Ehrenbreitstein fortress. In the evening, you can experience Christmas at the nearby Liebfrauenkirche (Church of Our Lady). We will welcome you back on board with a delicious hot chocolate.
Friday 25 December:
Koblenz - Lorelei – Boppard
Today we will first sail alongside the world-famous Lorelei, which stands high above the whimsical Rhine. After midday, we will moor up in Boppard. While you wander through this pretty town, our chefs will be busy preparing a delicious Christmas Dinner for you. To enhance the festive atmosphere, we would appreciate it if you could wear your party clothes!
Saturday 26 December:
Boppard – Düsseldorf
On our way back, we will again pass the mighty cities of Bonn and Cologne. At the end of the afternoon, we will moor in Düsseldorf. The shops in the centre will be closed, but the Altstadt (Old Town) is nevertheless very lively. Take care not to spend too long there though, as we will be concluding Boxing Day with a festive farewell party.
Sunday 27 December:
Düsseldorf – Arnhem
This special trip is nearly at an end. Around midday, we'll cross the border, and after lunch we'll arrive back in Arnhem. What remains is for us to wish you a very happy new year, and we hope to see you on board one of our ships again in 2021.
