Friday April 10:
Arnhem - Duisburg
You are welcome on board from 11.00. After unpacking your cases there will be a delicious lunch waiting for you in the restaurant. In the afternoon the crew will introduce themselves and you can meet your fellow passengers. We will arrive in Duisburg during the evening and you still have time to take an evening walk beside the Rhine or in the centre of Duisburg.
Saturday April 11:
Duisburg - Cologne - Königswinter
We will arrive in Cologne after lunch. You can explore this beautiful cathedral city with its many sights in the afternoon. Whether you visit the cathedral or one of the many museums, you’ll have no difficulty filling in your day. At the end of the afternoon we continue our journey to Königswinter. After passing Bonn the landscape changes visibly. The surroundings are more hilly and it won’t be long before we see the Drachenfels Castle towering high above Königswinter.
Sunday April 12:
Königswinter - Koblenz - Boppard
Today is Easter Sunday. A delicious Easter breakfast is waiting for you in the restaurant. While you enjoy your breakfast we are on our way to Coblenz. After arriving in Koblenz you can discover by yourself everything that this town has to offer. Take a walk to the Deutsche Eck where the Moselle flows into the Rhine. Or float over the Rhine in the cable car to the Ehrenbreitstein fortress where you have spectacular views of the Rhine and Moselle Valleys. There are various museums and exhibitions which tell the history of the fortress. We set sail during dinner and continue towards the wine town of Boppard where we will stay overnight.
Monday April 13:
Boppard - Sankt Goarshausen - Rüdesheim
On our way to Rüdesheim we will first stop in the medieval village of St. Goarshausen. The centre of St. Goarshausen is small but picturesque. As we continue our journey you will see the legendary statue of the nymph of Lorelei on a headland in the Rhine. Shortly afterwards we pass the huge Lorelei rock and there is a tight bend in the river. It won’t be long before we arrive in Rüdesheim. This lively wine town is located in the Rhine Valley and is famous for its many wine cellars that are often housed in historic half-timbered buildings.
Tuesday April 14:
Rüdesheim - Lahnstein - Andernach
We sail downstream again along the Romantic Rhine. We will moor in Lahnstein at around midday. Stolzenfels Castle is on the other side of the Rhine, high up on the mountain. You have the opportunity this afternoon to take part in an excursion(*) or to explore the surroundings by yourself. We will sail on to Andernach during dinner.
Wednesday April 15:
Andernach - Bonn - Krefeld
The pedestrian area of Bonn is one of the largest in Germany. There are plenty of shops in the lively, narrow streets and in the attractive squares. Well-known shopping streets include the Bonngasse, the Poststra?e and the completely refurbished Friedrichstra?e. But Bonn also has plenty to offer the culture lover. We set sail for Krefeld in the afternoon. In the evening the captain will invite you to the Captains Dinner.
