Food & Wine on the romantic Rhine New

You will be pampered in a culinary way during this Rhine cruise past fortresses and castles. While you indulge yourself you will have views from the water of beautiful historic settlements. These views are interspersed with vine covered hills. A qualified sommelier will introduce you to the taste of the local wines at every dinner.

Day 1: Arnhem - Düsseldorf

We welcome you on board from 16:00. After you have unpacked, the tasting begins. The crew will introduce themselves during the welcome cocktail in the lounge, after which dinner will be served in the restaurant. Meanwhile we will weigh anchor and sail gently towards our first destination, Düsseldorf. During the evening you can get to know your fellow passengers better, accompanied by a drink and a snack.

Day 2: Düsseldorf - Bonn

After a hearty breakfast you have the opportunity to explore Düsseldorf. This city offers a whole range of possibilities. The Altstadt (Old Town) shows you the old part of Düsseldorf while the Medienhafen (Media Harbour) will introduce you to modern architecture. During lunch we continue our journey to Bonn and you can enjoy High Tea in the lounge in the afternoon. The musician will provide background music in the lounge in the evening so you can round off your day in a relaxed way.

Day 3: Bonn - Coblenz

We spend the morning in Bonn, the former capital of West Germany. You will be welcomed back on board with a glass of mulled wine. While enjoying a finger food lunch we will sail on to Coblenz. This trading city is wedged between the Moselle and the Rhine. The Deutsches Eck, the point where the Moselle flows out into the Rhine is a real tourist attraction. You can enjoy an apfelstrudel demonstration in the lounge in the afternoon. We will offer you an aperitif early in the evening, after which we invite you to a stylish gala dinner.

Day 4: Coblenz - Rüdesheim

You can explore Coblenz until lunch time, after which we continue our journey to Rüdesheim. We will sail along the romantic Rhine where you can enjoy wonderful views. We pass the famous Lorelei at midday and delicious cocktails and canapés will be served on the sundeck. We will arrive in the wine town of Rüdesheim early in the evening. The medieval town centre has been preserved, as have parts of the town’s defences. After dinner the sommelier will introduce you to some local wines during a wine tasting.

Day 5: Rüdesheim - Cologne - Emmerich

On our return journey to Cologne you can once again enjoy the lovely surroundings as you pass by. Lunch today has a German theme. The Bavarian buffet is sure to include roast meat with sauerkraut and a glass of white beer. We will arrive in the cathedral city during the afternoon. The gothic cathedral is the main church of the Archdiocese of Cologne and also one of the largest cathedrals in Europe. Back on board you can take part in a Lebkuchenhaus (Gingerbread House) workshop under the guidance of a pastry chef. After the Farewell Dinner we sail downstream to Emmerich..

Day 7: Emmerich - Arnhem

The charming restaurant on the Main Deck has large picture windows, as do all the cabins on this vessel. In the centre of the ship there is a stylish library.
